These are longform personal essays that took us about a year to put together, involving 9 writers, 9 illustrators/designers and some of our photographer friends. From bar hopping to scour origin stories about a cocktail infamous for its potency, researching the modern school of thought held by Taoist believers who offer food to their ancestors, eating alone in different types of F&B establishments to put one’s courage to the test - these are just some of the topics covered in the stories, many of which offer a fresh perspective of Singaporean food beyond its look and taste.
